"If the burial records are from a cemetery, then the cemetery would be the source and would not need to be linked." If this is what you're referring to, I was too casual in my remark and I apologize. The cemetery is not the source, it is the creator of the source. The source is the particular cemetery records that you're interested in. For example, the Schrader Funeral Home in Plymouth, where I live, creates records when it buries people. So, the source would be the volume name of the book that the record I'm interested came from. The funeral home itself created the record, so it would be the "author." The repository would be wherever the records are kept. A holy card is not a business record of a funeral home, as you stated. You have it right for the holy card. Unpublished documents are sources, not the author of the document. >Moving to a different topic. >I have a business that was owned by my faimily. OK, I see that I'm going to have to rethink the business aspect. As you know, businesses are new in Clooz 2, so this is the kind of input I need in order to know how people are using the business links. I have had a special version of Clooz 1.23 for several years that I use at the museum I work at. Businesses have been in it for a while. But, I was just linking them to buildings and generic documents. So, dialog is needed from users so I know how to shape future releases of Clooz. I'm glad to know that adding the businesses is valuable to users. This feature will not be added in version 2.1 because we are mired down in completing the approximately 130+ reports that will be available in that version. So far, we have about 90 of them done, so we still have some work to do. I am shooting now for a late October release of version 2.1, which will also be the CD release for those of you who are waiting for a CD. FYI, version 2.1 will have all the current bugs fixed, including those who can't print 1870 or 1880 US census reports, and others that have been reported. But the most significant additions (aside from the reports) are the ability to print a specific report right from that report's form (like you could do in 1.23), and the ability to link multiple people at the same time instead of opening the link screen for each person (like you could do in 1.23). I think you all will be happy with this addition because there is a check box next to each person's name and you just check each person to link. It's working really well. Also on that same link screen, you'll be able to pull a column header into the area above to group on a column, such as surname, and then sort by given name, so finding people on the link screen is much easier. I, of course, have the in-progress version of 2.1 on my computer and have been entering documents into Clooz (in preparation for my annual trip to Ireland in early October) and have found the improvements in this version much more user-friendly! So, the bottom line is, thanks to everyone who takes the time to make suggestions. That's how we keep making Clooz better. Sometimes the changes aren't quick, but that's because I'm still a one-person show trying to pay for all the programming on a limited budget. But I listen to everyone. So, keep those ideas coming, please! 1. Re: [CLOOZ] Connecting Businesses to Documents
    2. Thanks Liz! I am glad I have the correct understanding. You are correct I was not able to connect the business to the death record. That was my original question, which you answered the other day. Keep up the great work.
