    3. Maria, I require people to register with me because I provide free technical support. It's only fair to me as a business person that people that legitimately own the software get this free support. I'm also a one-person business and have to watch out for my business. Additionally, you can now download a demo version of Clooz for free, and then you can download the Clooz 1.22 patch for free, but you need the serial number to install it. If I wasn't careful, I'd be giving away my software. Like it or not, this is my livelihood and I have to protect my interests. So I insist that people provide proof of purchase. I'm not the only company that has this practice. I have always required that people send in their registration cards and there are many customers that have been able to do this. There aren't that many vendors that sell Clooz. I suggest that you contact Ancestry to see if you purchased it from them. They sell the most copies of Clooz. Ancestry will be happy to provide you with a copy of your receipt, as would any other vendor that sells Clooz.
