I have been burned badly by Windows in the past when I made a backup of a file and then discovered (after the program crashed) that my backup was also corrupted. Since that time I have always saved the last two backups. It's possible to back up one's file and then verify that it is not corrupt before deleting the previous backup, but I'm not nearly THAT efficient. Doug
