The upgrade is $20 with no shipping right now. When it's publicly released, shipping charges will be added. Clooz is only guaranteed to work with Windows XP and 2003. It may work on Windows 2000, but we can't guarantee that. At 06:50 AM 3/11/2006, Glenny~~Capriella wrote: >I Have missed a lot..how much is it? The way I would handle it is to consider Bible001 as the master reference. Bible001 is "The X Family Bible" Birth records; Bible001b Mariage records: Bible001m Death Records Bible001d The Bible001b document will contain all birth references from the reference bible, Bible001m all marraige references and Bible001d all deaths. I sometimes use a suffix of "x" for miscellaneous data gleaned from a common reference source. How and where is the best way to enter Bible records in Clooz? Linking one person with two or three events (birth, marriage, death) doesn't seem possible if I enter the Bible record as a single document. Entering several birth, death and marriage records under several Personal File #s doesn't make sense either. I'd appreciate any advice you can give. Elizabeth

Liz, In Clooz 2.0, will there be a way to print all the entries for a particular county? Say I want to print everything that has to do with Greene County - all the marriages, censuses, tax lists, court records, death records, etc.? Carol
I'm doing a limited one name study for the Voiles/Viles, etc. families out of Eastern TN. These people all had the same names - William, Jacob, John, etc. Many times I'm not sure which record should go with which William, if there are multiple Williams in the county. What do you all do if you aren't sure? TIA, Carol

I saved my Nantais.mdb file at a storage site on the web. (old comp was Windows 98 with MS Office 94- with the stand alone version of Clooz) I bought a new computer (Windows XP with MS Office 2003). I re-installed Clooz from my original Clooz CD and picked the stand alone version again. I have downloaded the Nantais.mdb; but cannot get Clooz to read the file. I remember (in the long past) that there was a discussion about what folder the file had to be in to make Clooz read it. I have gone to Roots Web trying to find this email list to read archives; but cannot find it. Help!! I either need to know what folder the .mdb file should be in OR I need to know how to find the rootsweb clooz list to read old emails. I have tried importing an older version of my Nantais file; but I get an error message regarding the fields not being correct. Any and all help is appreciated as I have done way too much work in Clooz to lose it all now. I entered my ancestor's pension packet as one document in Clooz. I then attached every person, who was named in the document, to that file. In each person's details screen I put all the information relating to that section of the file. In their Remarks section, I transcribed the information relating to that particular witness. This way if I run a report on that document I have all of the people listed with the information. Carla, I have a number of Civil War documents. For a project I've been working on, I give the document (such as a pension) one number. Within the document info, I summarize a lot of the documents. However, there are occasionally baptism, marriage, and death records within the pension file. So, I enter them as separate documents with a page number. So, for instance, if I have a 53 page pension, I number each of those pages (in pencil). Then I give it a number, say Pension 001. Then I find a marriage record on page 10, so I give it the number Pension 001-010. That way I know that the marriage record is actually contained within the pension file and not a separate document. I hope that helps. At 09:37 AM 1/26/2006, Carla Leber wrote: >I looked in the archives and saw the question asked a few years back, but >didn't see an answer. Happy New Year, everyone! I wanted to give you an update on the progress of Clooz, and to thank all those who have pre-ordered. By doing so, you have helped me keep going with programming, the cost of which has gotten extremely expensive. I had hoped that Clooz would be out by now. It is not. As programming goes, we continually find new challenges and delays. Since the program has been completely rewritten, there are many different aspects that need to be tested to ensure they work. We're very close to finishing that process, thankfully. About a week ago, I tested the Clooz setup. It's looking great! The hang up with that setup was that not everything was converting from previous versions of Clooz. I was able to test everything and hopefully those problems have been eliminated. The final piece of the puzzle is getting the GEDCOM conversion in place. Then we'll be in beta testing. I'm hoping that will happen within a week. One important thing that everyone should know is that the first version of Clooz 2.0 that is released will not contain all the reports that will ultimately be in the program. There will be some reports, but in order to get the program out there, we will release without all the reports. Everyone that has paid for the upgrade or new version WILL receive a copy of the final version with all the reports. So, my plan is to release the initial version as a download. The final version will go out on CD to all paid users. If the initial download is a problem for anyone, I will work with them to get a copy on CD, but it probably won't be a pretty copy. Thank you all for your patience and confidence in the new version. I am confident you will be pleasantly surprised. I agree. I have always argued for a one-database approach. I don't think that Liz could have been any more polite, without going into a discussion of database theory, which is way beyond the scope of this list, and certainly not something that she has time for. Again, think ONE database. There is no advantage to multiples. At 11:04 AM 11/25/2005, you wrote: >Whoa, I thought Liz's answer was to the point and very polite.
