FELLOWS born 10 Jun 1828, died 11 Dec 1840 Based on limited research I found Martin L. & Margaret SMITH living in Claverack, NY during the 1880 census along with two children, Emory age 24, and Alta age 19. All were listed as born in NY as were all of their parents. Martin was a Carpenter by trade, Emory was a Telegraph Operator, and Alta was working in the Cotton Mill. Records indicate that Jonathan FELLOWS was born in Claverack, NY and that his parents were Philemon FELLOWS and Martha ELTON. His first wife, Maria CLEVELAND was b. at Canterbury, CT to parents Eliphas CLEVELAND and Anna PELLETT and died at Taghkanic, NY. It appears that all of their children were born in Claverack, NY. Their son William FELLOWS married Catharine M. HOLENBECK or HALLENBECK and had at least one child, Henry B. FELLOWS b. 14 Nov 1839 in Hudson, NY. Son John FELLOWS and his wife Caroline were living in Claverack, NY during the 1880 census along with a niece, Carrie DELAMATER age 19. John's wife Caroline was listed as age 64 at the time, all born in NY. Son Henry FELLOWS and wife Catharine RANNEY were living in Copake, NY during the 1880 census. Catharine was listed as age 59, born in NY, working in the Millinery. Records indicate that they had a son, Henry Parker FELLOWS b. 4 Aug 1849 at Copake, NY.
