I wanted to let everyone know that when I heard that you get a copy of the SSN application for a deceased person at your local Social Security office, I went down and tried it. It works! The person I got hadn't had a request like that before, so he had to ask, but I got the copy, he even offered to stamp it for me, and he didn't change me for it either. Although, I would have gladly paid the $7.00 It is NOT an exact copy, it is only a computer printout and doesn't show the address at the time of application. It does have the dates and the parents names however. (You might be able to ask them to include this. I will ask the next time I go in) The best part? No waiting!
