For those that have Bible pages, I would like to see if there is a way to put copies for these up on the web. I would be willing to get pages up on the web if anyone has bible pages they are willing to share Too many times, Bibles get lost or disroyed and then the records are gone. Any thoughts? I can take a scanned copy, or you can snail mail me a good photocopy and I will scan it here and upload it. I have put together a small website for the 2001 Reunion of the Joseph Grover and Mattie Rello Cleaveland Descendants. The reunion was held June 16 at Moab Utah. http://www.greenapple.com/~pastor751/ On this index page, you will find the link to the reunion page and for Uncle Tom's funeral which was help on the same day. Pass the work on to all of the family that I may not have email addresses for, please. I hope you enjoy. Thank you Danny for your picture contribution. Starting Sunday, Terry and I are on vacation. I will have my laptop, but there won't always be phone lines. I will get to any surname postings, and admin details as soon as I can. Shouldn't be more than a couple of days between logging on... I hope. Thanks in advance for being patient. I wanted to let everyone know that when I heard that you get a copy of the SSN application for a deceased person at your local Social Security office, I went down and tried it. It works! The person I got hadn't had a request like that before, so he had to ask, but I got the copy, he even offered to stamp it for me, and he didn't change me for it either. Although, I would have gladly paid the $7.00 It is NOT an exact copy, it is only a computer printout and doesn't show the address at the time of application. It does have the dates and the parents names however. (You might be able to ask them to include this. I will ask the next time I go in) The best part? No waiting! Been kinda quite lately..... I am still searching for Jesse Clevelands parents and while I was doing some filing tonight and I stumbled across and wondered if any CLEVELAND hunters ever pondered an 1830 Franklin County, Ill Census entry. ( I am looking for some crosstalk here if there is any....:-) CLEAVELAND, EVEN 2 Males 15-20 1 Female 40-50 1 Male 10-15 1 Female 10-15 For those of you who know the quartet (Jesse, Evan, Andrew J. Mahla).... Mind you I have no prood here but consider the CLE(A)VELAND possibilities.... 2 Males 15-20 (b:1810-1815) Even (Evan?) and a brother Jesse? 1 Male 10-15 (b:1815-1820) Andrew J. ? 1 Female 40-50 (b:1780-1790) A widowed mother? 1 Female 10-15 (b:1815-1820) Mahala (the older) I don't have a birthday for Evan but I bet someone out there has a guess. I have Jesse b:1810-1817 (from 1850/60/70 censuses) I have Andrew J. b:1820 (from an e-mail) I have no b: for Mahala but the one I am thinking of married Nathaniel Jones b:1810 (another email) so about this lady is about the right age. Anyone know of a married male CLE(A)VELAND b: circa 1780-1790 lived in/passed through Tennesse(?) that might have passed on about oh...say about 1820-1830ish? Might have been married to the 40-50 year old lady here. Heck...if anyone could DISPROVE this it would be a help.... punt!, Norm Steffen (GGG Grandson of Jesse)
Grover and Mattie Cleaveland 2001 Family Reunion It's that time! The reunion will be here before you know it. The place is Moab Utah. The date is June 15 & 16, 2001, at Old City Park. This will be a very special reunion for me. As I'm sure you've all heard my Dad (Thomas Cleaveland) passed away May 10, 2000. I know all of you that knew him knows just how special he was. We are going to bury his ashes at the foot of Grandpa and Grandma Cleaveland's grave, (as he requested) before the reunion Saturday. Let us do whatever we can do to make this a reunion to remember. The head of each family has the responsibilty to make sure that each member of their family are informed and encouraged to attend the reunion. So, let's make copies of this letter and get them sent out to everyone. Don't forget the RAFFLE. Handmade items if possible. I know we have a lot of talented peopple in our family. I have noticed that some of you may not have added the Cleaveland- L (D) address to your addressbooks correctly. Please remember to take out the "-Request" . Hello, I'm looking for information on a family named CLEVELAND that lived at Kinney's Four Corners. Kinney's Four Corners was the name of a crossroads in the northwest corner of the Town of Hannibal, N.Y, at the crossroads of Route 104 and Parsons and Cooper Roads. I have two people that named CLEVELAND from that area that I believe may be sisters. The first is Alice A. CLEVELAND. She was born 10 April 1829, Granby, Oswego Co., N.Y. She married 27 January 1850 at Kinney's Four Corners, N.Y., John EATON, Jr., the son of John and Mary EATON. John was born 11 December 1822, England, died 21 September 1865, Kinney's Four Corners, N.Y. They were married by the Rev. F. Armstrong. I also have an Eliza CLEVELAND. She was born 1830, died 1902. She married first Abram SHUTTS, the son of John SHUTTS and Maria MILLER. Abram was born 20 February 1826, died 27 July 1871. After Abram died, Eliza married his brother Jonas SHUTTS on 17 October 1883. Jonas was born 18 March 1814, died 10 August 1897. Jonas and Eliza SHUTTS lived at Kinney's Four Corners. Any information would be greatly appreciated. John Bogdal
