(Perhaps: Merritton, St. Catharines area, Lincoln County, Ontario).Need all records& data. Married: Mary Boyd(e), b:ca Oct.1850/51 in Scotland, emigrated to Grantham, Lincoln County, Ontario, Canada.(Need marriage record). Mary Boyd(e), b:Oct 1850, probably the daughter of: John Boyd & Mary Guthrie, both of Scotland & emigrated to Grantham, Lincoln Co. Ontario, Can. John Boyd's Parents: Archibald Boyd & Margaret Fairbairn. Parent's of Mary Guthrie: William Guthrie & Mary Neil, both from Scotland. Mary Boyd(e) , b:Oct 1850 & Alexander Clark , Sr.,(or) "William Alexander Clark), Sr, B:ca 1844, had at least two children: 1. Mary Clark, b:ca Oct 1873 in Grantham, Lincoln Co., Ontario, Canada; 2. "William Alexander Clark, Jr., b: ca 17 Feb 1877, Merritton, (St. Catharines area), Lincoln County, Ontario, Canada. (NO BIRTH RECORD FOUND). John Boyd & wife, Mary Guthrie Boyd were on the 1871 Census in Lincoln Co. Ontario, Can. with: dau: Mary, age 20, b.Oct 1850; sons: William, b: 16 Aug 1853; Archibald, b: 22 Oct 1855, Unnamed male 28 July 1858; John, 19 Apr 1860; James, b: 18 Dec 1862; dau: Margaret Fairbairn, b: 30 July 1865; Alexander, b: 2 Jan 1868; and another James , b: August 1870. This family next appeared in the 1880 RI Census: John Boyd & wife Mary, settled in Lincoln, Providence, Rhode Island with: William, age 26; Archibald 23; John 20; Margaret, age 14. Alexander Clark & wife, Mary.(is she Mary Boyd?)..were found on the 1880 MA Census with 1.Little Mary Clark, age 7; 2. William Alexander Clark, (Jr)..age 4.; and another child in household...John, age 1 yr. (all born in Canada). This family was in Attleborough Bristol, MA. Alexander Sr. was working in the tannery.
