He married MARY ANN WYATT who he met on board ' Queen of Beauty' on his way to New Zealand. Charles was born about 1844 (I think) and came from 'landed gentry' but because he was not the eldest son and knew he could not inherit wealth he left England to seek his fortunes. Charles and Mary Ann are my gt gt grandparents.
