Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mBJ.2ACEB/1256 Message Board Post: I am looking for the ancestors of Mary M. Clark,Sarah F. Clark, and Benjamin Clark of Dinwiddie County, Virginia. Mary was born around 1826 and married John Jones Alston of Chatham County, North Carolina, in 1846. Mary was my GG Grandmother, and I am interested in learning her parents' names. Her mother was Jane Bushfield Clark, but I am not sure whether or not Bushfield was her maiden name or just her middle name. Father may have been Thomas E. Clark or William Clark, Jr. The mother died in 1840 or 1841 but father was still alive in summer 1840. Mary's sister, Sarah(b. 1823) married George W. Butts abt. 1848. Their daughter, Clara Wilkins Butts was born in 1857 and married Thomas Eppes Fenner in 1882. Their daughter was named Clara Louise Fenner. I believe the Butts family lived in Prince George County, Virginia. I have no information on Benjamin except that he was living as of 1840 and apparently was younger than Sarah. I believe that there were also three other brothers in the Clark family -- J.B. Clark, D.C. Clark, and G. Clark, all of whom may have been physicians. The brothers apparently moved to the Kosse, Texas (Limestone County) area after the end of the War Between the States. Hope someone can help me with more information on any of the above individuals.
