Patti C. Did your Clark family live anywhere else other than Maine? Do you have anything for Clarks from Indiana, and North Carolina? My oldest Clark info would be of Luis Clark born about 1790 in NC. marriage to Margaret A. of KY, where William Carl Clark was born in 1816. The other children were born in Indiana we think. Some moving on to Kansas such as William Carl Clark and James Harvey Clark b 1839 in IN. I can't find much on Luis at all. So, I too have hit a brick wall. I am hoping to find the rest of the family members families. Siblings to William and James are: Ann who married a Foster. And Ellen who married a McCoy. There was also a Richard or Dick Clark, not the famous one. And it is believed that there were 12 children in all. Some died at birth or infants probably. Both Luis and Margaret died with in 6 years of each other and the children were orphaned. Probably being raised by other Clark family or Margaret A.'s family. I have a picture of the children grown up from Matoon, IL. Still I have no record of any of them living there. Can we help each other? Sherry C. R.
