Melanie, My James Harvey Clark and the rest were to be from Rush Co., Indiana. Or that's what family letters stated. I don't have any proof such as census Records. I do have info on James Harvey Clark who married Rachel Ann Borom, since he is my great grandfather. William Carl moved to Bourbon Co., Kansas quite a time before 1870. James Harvey followed around 1870. Meeting Rachel Ann and getting married around Fort Scott, KS. James and Rachel had Oliver Francis Clark, Nora, to many to rattle off of hand. If were related I can email my history. William Carl married a woman named Susan born in Ohio. They had one son I know of named Silas Clark b 1853 in Indiana. Silas married a Mary, and they had two children at least by 1880, William A. Clark b KS, and Maude Clark b KS. The info about William Carl Clark I got off of a census record from the 1880 Dry Wood, Bourbon Co., Kansas. Ann Clark Foster I have a picture of her, I think she was widowed at the time as her husband was not in picture. Ellen Clark McCoy I have a picture of her and her husband, his name is unknown. Lewis Clark and Richard (dick) Clark I have nothing for so far. The family thinks my great grandfather James Harvey Clark, was the youngest of 12 children born to Luis and Margaret A. Clark. I hope this helps! PS I tried to email to your address and it did not work. Sherry
Obviously both your emails came thru, cause I got both of them!!!! Same identical wording. Probably what happened is the fact that the system at our server could've been down at the time you tried to send it, or our son may have had to shut down and re-boot. His computer in his room controls the connection between both computers. I don't like it, but it won't be long, and he won't be here, and everything will be back to normal again. I'm just glad he's home, and trying not to gripe too much about things he does or doesn't do. He's been awfully good to us, and I can't complain too much. We were out of work from June 2001 to about June 2002, but from Jan. 2002, he paid our bills, and kept us afloat during this struggling time. I don't think he'll ever know how much we've appreciated his help during that time, and once in awhile he still kicks in....he's a good boy, however he does get on my nerves most generally, but he's trying to grow up, and spread his wings, and I can't say a whole lot about that. He turned 21 back in May, and served almost a year overseas with the Guard in Bosnia. He's done alot of growing up while there. When he left, he left as a boy; when he returned back in Sept., he came back a man!!! He's shown me alot of things that I'd never seen out of him, and he's quite a man. I may be his mother, but I'm an honest mother about my children. Never prejudice because their my children, unless it's about their physical characteristics, or their personality. Then if it's good, I'll take credit, but if it's bad, it's because he got it from his dad's side of the family (hahaha)....But behavior wise, he's never really been too bad, except where this one girl is concerned. She's a screwball, and I just don't like her controlling attitude toward him. He's got so, he doesn't like that either. He's still in love with her, but doesn't like some things about her either, and I think those are things I don't think he's willing to live with for the rest of his life. I'll have to do some lookups for you, in the next day or so, and see if I can come up with what I have. If not, I'll have another cousin contact you. She actually has more on my side of the family than I do. She's been researching longer, and has accumulated more. I have very little on my husbands family.
