William Clarke LAKE BUTLER-William Elzie Clarke, 80, of Lake Butler died Saturday, June 22, 2002, at his residence following a sudden illness. Born in Bradford County, Mr. Clarke lived briefly in Miami, but spent most of his life in Lake Butler. He was a heavy equipment operator in Dade County and member of the Faith Baptist Church in Lake Butler. Mr. Clarke is survived by: his wife of 52 years Enestine Pearce Clarke of Lake Butler; a son Tommy Clarke of Lake Butler; a brother Jimmy Clarke of Starke; two sisters, Mamie Tucker of Brooker and Mary Ryals of Jacksonville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Clarke were June 25, 2002 in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with the Rev. Ralph Durham officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are. This is here as a lasting memorial for Mr. Clarke.
