Surnames: Clark,Dodson,Bassett,Rerick,Stipe,Danely,Denton Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/mBJ.2ACEB/1228 Message Board Post: Looking for "ANY" info on Lewis and Lucinda (Dodson) Clark. Maybe someone's family remembers them in Ind. or Iowa. in 1840's and 50's. That is the only dates I have. Daughter born 1843 in Ind. moved to Iowa about 1853. Have no idea where they were before or after. They had 8 children-Matilda,Martha,Nancy Elizabeth,John,Charley,George,Rose, and one child died in infancy. They are my gggrparents-any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    3. I have Clarks from Indiana and Mo. The only Lewis Clark's I find are much later. I do find a Martha Dodson married to Benjamin Clark in Fayette Co, In 1857. I don't yet know how they connect with my Clarks from same area. Try Fayette, Hancock and Henry Co, IN. You may find a connection. Samuel Clark b 1810 TN, married 1831 Fayette Co, IN William Clark b 1811 TN, married 1835 " *Joseph Clark b 1813 TN, married 1838 " married Mitilda Henderson and there are several Mitilda's in the Clark line. Unfortunately, the names you list are very common and were used frequently by my Clark line. I am trying to find out the parents of the Clark men born 1810-1813 TN.
