    3. Hi Jim... Silas is not that common as a given name and I have only four in my data base, born about that time, who lived in NY. Maybe I can match up your Silas with one of those? Where was he living in the 1850 census and the names and ages of his kids and possibly other Clarks who lived in the same locality on the 1850 census? Frequently members of the same family migrated and lived close by... Do you have any other info that could tie yours in to the 25,000 Clarks I have in my data base?
