I am also researching Jones, and Clark(e) in Canada, specifically in the Durham, Victoria, Northumberland area. I don't have a Charlotte Clark(e). My Mary and John Clark(e) immigrated in 1833 with at least one son, Daniel, born at sea in April 1833. That's about all I know for sure until Daniel (my grandfather) married Martha Holmes and appeared in the 1861 census in Ballyduff with two children, Mary Ann and Sarah J. I do think that they must have had relatives already here for a man and pregnant wife to leave Ireland and travel to Canada so am hoping to find someone with a connection. I also think Daniel must have had some siblings but have not found any proof. My Jones relatives were Humphrey and Frances Jones Jones (first cousins) who immigrated cr. 1820 and settled in the same area, namely Smith Township, Peterborough County. They had a large family -- Henry, Louisa Jane (my ggrandmother), Frances Ann, Elizabeth, John, Martha, Nancy and Robert. If any of these names are familiar to you, would appreciate hearing from you.
