The 1790 census for Bucks co., PA. p 45, includes Benjamin Matthews with one white male over 16, two white males under 16 and ten white females. by the time of Hannah's marriage to William (23 jan 1803), one brother may have died and additional sisters may have been born. One sister, Letitia, married (1804) to William Thornton's brother, John. The two couples were members of Indian Spring Monthly Meeting in Montgomery Co., MD until abt 1829, when both families moved to Clermont co., Ohio.
