Hi Anne... Have you discarded the idea that Rebecca LAND was the name of the wife of Jabez CLARK(E) in favor of the name Rebecca BURNEY? Have you been able to verify either name either through death or grave records? Could he have been married to both? I have the birth date of Rebecca LAND as 1760 which would make her 9 years older that Jabez, which would be unusual. And the dates of the birth of the children would probably not be hers.. The birth date of Rebecca BURNEY being Mar 9, 1781 would make her 12 years younger than Jabez since I have his birth date as 19 Mar 1769, which would seem more possible. I do have a marriage record of Church Records, St John Anglican Church of Gagetown, Queens Co., NB, CAN, for 21 Jan 1800 for Rebecca BURNEY and a Jabez CLARKE. Most likely the couple who had the listed children. I don't know if that document listed the ages at their marriage but if it did, then we could say for sure if he were the Rhode Island Jabez. Do any of their kids records list their parents and where they were born and possibly the ages of the parents at the time of the kids births? Let me know what you think..
