Malachy Clarke was born before 1757 in Co. Galway, Ireland. He married Bridget GAVIN about 1772. They had five children: John, Andrew, Bridget Sabina, Jeremiah. All born in Ireland. Jeremiah died in Lebanan, KY. John Clarke (son of Malachy & Bridget) married Mary MANION about 1821 in Co. Galway, Ireland. They had nine children: Mary, Patrick, Bridget, Julia, Sabina, Malachy, William, John & Catherine. Patrick (son of John & Mary) married Catherine WADE. They were both born in Co. Galway, Ireland but met and married in the USA. They married in Wheeling, W VA. Both died in Muncie, Indiana. They had nine children: Catherine Veronica 1870, Julia Marie 1871, John Hugh 1872, William Patrick 1874, Michael J. 1876, Thomas J. 1878, Cornelius Raymond 1880, Henry 1881, and Luke 1887. It seems only William and Cornelius had children. William Patrick Clarke - son of Patrick & Catherine - b. 1874 in W VA, married Mary Bridget EMMRICK. Both died in Toldeo, Ohio. William (in collaboration with John Hugh) published the History of the Clarke Family about 1946. Most of what I am sharing is from the book. I would love to be able to fill in some blanks and update the tree. Sorry, but I don't see me publishing books, LOL! This is my direct line. I appear 3 generations further down.
