    1. Re: [CLARKE] BAILEY and JAMES, Wood Co., WV
    2. Betty, I think your probably right that there is a connection between James and Bailey. From their ages I would guess brothers or cousins. I don't have anything on James, but if they were brothers you might check in Prince George County Maryland (there was a Bailey in 1790 Census, probably my Bailey's Father so possibly your James') or Allegheny County Pennsylvania (Bailey and his wife were there between 1844 and 1850, and two or three of there children were born there). Also one of their son's (Joseph) married a woman from Wirt County and later another one from PA. Bailey and Elizabeth were married in Jackson County and after 1860 show up until 1880 in Jackson County, don't know what happened to them after that....yet. If I come across a definite connection I'll let you know. Also does the name Leverot show up for first or middle name in any of your men? I definitely think that B. Marcellus could be for Bailey and Marcellus isn't real common name anyway, so I bet there is a connection. We'll just have to keep digging. Let me know if you come across anything else. We may be cousins when all is said and done. Beverly
