Marilyn, I've found something interesting in my family tree that could possibly be connected to your Eleanor/Nelly/Milly Clark question. In my Clark/e family tree, which originally hails from Virginia, I have an Eleanor "Nellie" Boone which married Jeremiah Clarke. Nellie Boone was Daniel's niece. Nellie is probably a common nickname for Eleanor. My Eleanor "Nellie" Boone Clarke was born in 1783 and died in 1821. Her husband, Jeremiah Clarke was born in 1778 in Burke Co., NC and died September 19, 1832. I don't think this is the same person you're searching for, but thought you might find it interesting.
