My William Clark is from 96 Dist South Carolina (Edgefield), he was born about 1788 and was in the current Pike County Mississippi area around 1812 and came to Sabine County, Texas in 1821. We have been looking for his parents and siblings for years without success. >> Hi, Larry, That's okay. Just didn't want someone to be being mislead in their search plugging in an e for an and coming up empty. <lol> Good luck with your search. Wish I could help. Don't know if my CLARK/CLARKE's made into 96th District or not. They were in Edgecombe Co., NC in 1688 with my Jean ? and Robert CLARKE whose daughter, Hannah CLARKE, married Jacob UNDERWOOD so that phases out the CLARKE name in my descent in my maternal lineage. In my paternal lineage, my 3rd great grandmother, Elizabeth PIERCE, was born in 1790 in the 96th District, SC, I believe. Still trying to confirm her parents without much luck either. And she, too, was in Mississippi around before or about 1827 in Jasper County with her husband, William MYRICK. They were in Georgia and Alabama in between those times. I think the connections of 96th District and Mississippi are the "bogging down" places for many of us. Bellinda
