John, By the same token, if what they have to say is private they can change the reply to. As you say the lists are here to aid people. How is it aiding people if the info they are needed is kept private between two people! Or if the person that has the info has to take time from their own research to send the SAME info to 50 different people that it could help. If it is sent to the list, then you can negate the fact that that isn't your line and move on. But if it is privately sent you don't know. I wasn't aware of any such contest between list administrators and as I said I have several lists.
