Looking for Alfred Hartshorn Clark son of Elias Clark and Mary Darrow Clark. He was born 1840 in Madison, Ohio. I am not sure if this is referring to a city or town or perhaps a county. I do know that he enlisted in the Union Cavalry in Mt. Carmel, Illinois and rode with Sherman to the sea. After the war he went back to Ohio to marry. Later he migrated to Needles, California and then to Oakland, California where he died in 1923. I also know that he and his wife had children...or at least one daughter. He was a member of the Grand Old Army, after the war. Is anyone familiar with this group? Does anyone recognize Alfred? Sara
