Would like to hear from any descendants of Samuel and Mary Darby Clark. Samuel was the son of James b. 1745 Elizabethtown NJ area d. 1794 Essex Co., NJ, and Esther b. 1746 Scotch Plains, NJ, d. 1818 NJ. There is debate over Esther's maiden name. Have copies of both their wills. Samuel moved toward Ohio in the early 1800's and he and the children were in what is now Lawrence Co., OH by 1810. Mary died about 1806, probably in VA. Samuel was a carpenter by trade. The children were : Samuel-b. 1792 NJ m. 1815 OH Phoebe Sayre, d. 1840 Vigo Co. IN Cornelius- b. 1793 NJ, m. ca 1817 Elizabeth Lambert, d. ca 1860 Lawrence Co. OH. My line is through his son Levi b.1838, Levi's son Delbert b. 1864, and Delbert's son Wm. Mc"Donald" b. 1912. I am Donald R Clark b. 1947. Levi's descendants have a reunion in Sept. yearly. Joel- b. 1795 VA?, m. ca 1817 (Possibly Margaret, she died bfr 1840), d. 1850 Lawrence Co, OH FATHER OF SEVERAL, BUT ALL MARRIED BEFORE THE 1850 CENSUS. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ISOLATE HIS CHILDREN FROM NON RELATED CLARK MARRIAGES. Hannah- b. 1798 VA, m. 1814 OH William Carpenter, d. 1881 Weston, MO Samuel moved to Missouri ca 1845 with this daughter and her family. James- b. 1800 VA, m. 1818 OH Martha Lambert, d. unknown ANY INFO ON THIS FAMILY ESPECIALLY WELCOMED. NO INFO AFTER 1820 CENSUS Amos- b. 1802 VA, m. 1824 OH Sarah (Sally) Stumbough, d. 1848 Lawrence Co. OH.
