I am wondering and investigating whether my 6th great grandfather, Robert CLARKE, born: abt. 1688 in Edgecombe Co., NC, who married Jean ?, might be a descendant of Robert CLARKE/CLARK/CLERKE and Mary FLAKE but hadn't found anything confirming that yet. And, if not, who the parents of Robert CLARKE might be.
