My Clark/e family from VA also had a number of John B. Clark's in the family line. The "B" was for Bascom in several of my ancestors. My grandfather's brother was known as J.B. "Bascom" Clarke and was an attorney in Prestonsburg, KY during 1920's-60's. My family tree web page: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/c/l/a/Terrie-L-Clarkeneufarth/ind ex.html Hope this is helpful.
