My husbands family came from the Greenville area of South Carolina. He has the information on his family. One of the orginial Hensons was a John Henson. If this is the area you are from maybe you might have a connection. Oh yes, on the name Baylis, I also have a Burgess line that is from that area of SC and there is a John Baylis Burgess......The Burgess and Clark's married. Trish, The Clark/Burgess line trailed all the way to Arkansas. Thornberry A. Clark(my GGgrandfather) b. 1822 Columbia Co. Ark(son of Nicholas Clark b. 1792/93 NC or SC) married Amanda Elizabeth Burgess b.1824 Tenn. d. 1898 Columbia Co. Ark. Buried at the old Green Cemetry. I haven't followed her line yet.
