Clark, b. 1881, Rochester NY From_: stitchn@ev1.net Sun Aug 5 10:22:42 2001 If you have this Edmond Clark in your family line, I found something that may be of interest to you. In a Houston, Texas newspaper article dated 1903, Edmond C. Clark of Rochester NY is named as the only attendant available (prior to the Drs arrival) when President McKinley was shot in Buffalo. He worked at the medical facility at the Exposition and assisted with the care of the President. After that he came to Texas, to the Galveston area for awhile. He wanted to join the military as a medical person, and finally did that when he left Texas in 1903. The news article was recently reprinted along with several other "old" news items from the newspapers archived history. stitchn@ev1.net ======================== Subject: harold hurren From_: ddetgen@aol.com Sun Aug 5 17:13:08 2001 looking for any information on harold hurren. his parents were James and Anna Hurren. VA From_: mbm@aeneas.net Sun Aug 5 18:07:03 2001 Doug, I was very interested in the Bolling Clark and Allen families you describe. I have been searching for Abraham Boiler Allen b. 1819 TN d. 1905 OK for may years. I have copies of his discharge papers from Civil War, marriage to Sarah E. Baggett in TX but cannot find his birth place nor his parents. 1895 OK census said he was not a veteran, had lived in OK 2 years, born in TN and parents were from VA. I have heard stories he was married first to a Sarah or Elizabeth but have no record. Also he supposeably had a sister who married a Gillispi who lived in MO> All this is from family members who have heard it from other family members. Truth?? No records. Do you have any information on Abraham Boiler? Allen that would help me in another direction? Thanks in advance . Mary mbm@aeneas.net ======================== Subject: Looking for a John W.
