I am the grand-daughter of Fred Allen Clark and Lilly Cutlip, one of Owen's sons. My father, Eugene Allen Clark, remembers his uncles. I have not been able to find out anything about Owen or his father. What I can find is a census record of a child named Alexander with Owen's exact birthday on it. The father and mother are listed as Alexander and Elizabeth (Pauley). I haven't been able to confirm that this is our Owen but I strongly suspect that it is. Especially now that you have called him Owen Alexander. We have carried the name Allen through our family and assumed it came from Owen A. it turns out that it came from the McClure side rather than the Clark side. Later we heard that the initial "A" in Owen's name was for Alec. I started to suspect that perhaps it was Alex and short for Alexander. I think our Owen was called Alexander on the early census records. Please contact me. Do you live in West Virginia perhaps? If so I could come down and visit. I just moved to western Pennsylvania to attend seminary and my Aunt Donna still lives in the So. Charleston area. I would love to find the family gravesites and visit them, plus check out records in the local genealogical library. Clark is my great-grandfather. > > Your cousin, > > Jean Clark Caudill > > Calicemsalutaris@aol.com > > =========================== > > > > Subject: Re: Samuel and Francis Clark > > From_: tamis@olypen.com Wed Aug 1 18:50:41 2001 > > > > Hi Rhonda, Is your grandfather Ramsey Miller? > > I would love to hear what info you have. > > Tami tamis@olypen.com > > =========================== > > > > Subject: Re: Samuel and Francis Clark > > From_: rhondas@www.mebbs.com Thu Aug 2 12:20:18 2001 > > Yes rhondas@www.mebbs.com > > =========================== > > > > Subject: Re: Samuel and Francis Clark > > From_: rhondas@www.mebbs.com Thu Aug 2 21:14:39 2001 > > > > Hi Tami I'm sorry about the earlier reply.
