    2. I am looking for James Clark b. 1805 or 1809 SC. Parents and place of birth in SC unkn. Married twice. FIRST: Elvina ...?... b. 1811 SC 2 females listed under 5 on the 1830 census of Marion Co. GA. No mention of these children again. Elvina died c. 1864 Marion Co. GA SECOND: Mahala Richardson b. 1833 GA. Dau. of John and Eliz. Catherine Richardson of Marion Co. GA. The Richardsons had moved from SC and were in Marion Co. GA on the 1830 census. Children of Mahala and James Clark: James died at 21 of fever, Susan married late no children. Eley/Ely married Ella Mae Griner of Mitchell Co. GA two children: James Elias and Nora Alzeta. James was listed as a first settler of Marion Co. GA. The Creek Indian lands were opened for settlement 1827-1830 during the last two GA Land Lotteries. James died in Marion Co. GA. He was a farmer and owned land in the Red Cut area. Any information on this man and his family would be appreciated. I am most interested in his siblings and parents and where he was b. in SC. At the moment, my research leads me to the Waxhaw area of SC (Lancaster, Chester, York Co. ). Last, he had living with him in Marion Co. 3 children on the 1850 census. These children were b. in SC: Rebecca Kidd age 5, William Kidd age 17, John Morrow age 20. On the 1870 Census he had living in his household a young woman by the name of Jane Kidd b. SC. Feel there may be a family connection to the Kidds and Morrows. Nora Searching for: PHELPS, WEST, CLARK, LEE (two lines), RICHARDSON, GRINER (GREINER), BRUNSON, MCLEOD, GREGORY, PALMER, HICKS, BROWN, CHAPPELL, SCOTT, ACTON, CROCKETT and more. All came to GEORGIA from NY, CT, VA, KY, NC, SC. Most stayed, but some went on to: FL, LA, TX.
