Unfortunately, I can't help you with your John Clarke. I am interested in your Lydia Leavitt. My stone wall is Thomas Levitt Clarke, who was a British soldier during the American Revolution. After the War, he returned to America with his wife, Sarah Lyon. They eventually settled in the Williansport area of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The similarity of the Levitt name prompts me to wonder if ther might be a connection. If anything sounds familiar, I would be intersted in hearing from you.
