Wade, Have you checked the "History of Gratiot County Michigan 1881" that is available on Central Michigan University's Clarke Historical Library Web Site? They have scanned most of the pages and they are available online. I do know that there are a couple of articles ( Bios ) about individuals named Clark. If I remember correctly I believe that one was a Doctor ( MD ) . I had a relative named Peter Clark Jr. who was in Gratiot County ( Pine River Township ) in this time period.
