    1. [CLARKE] CLARKE] [CLARK] CLARK(E), John, Houton (or Horton)
    2. My Clark line is from Bracken County. My William "Billy" Clark sailed from Liverpool probably around the early 1800's and settled at Rock Springs, Kentucky just a short distance from Augusta, Kentucky. Billy married Elizabeth "Betsy" Frakes; but only had one child John b 1843 my Great Grandfather. According to the EE Barton files Billy died young. Betsy later married a John T. York. My unknown fact is why did he come to this area and did he come to be with family (Brother or Uncle or ?). Do you know any more about your Houton/Horton/Houston Clark? I saw several Clark(e)'s on the Bracken Tax list around this time. Thanks for any help, Denver in Ohio "Looking for more information on a particular family that appears on the 1850 census for Bracken County, KY: CLARK(E), Houton or Horton married to Eliabeth Chatton Ross.
