Hi listers, I guess it is time to post again, as it's been awhile. I am seeking information about Jeremiah Clarke who emigrated from County Mayo, Ireland about 1837 with his sons, Darby, Anthony and Martin. I believe they came from Ballykinletteragh in Co. Mayo. I was there this past fall and found some Clarkes who were familiar with the names I was seeking. We spent a very interesting evening chatting with them. The only problem was, they could not seem to remember too much about their ancestors! We visited the cemetery where they were buried and found the same names have been handed down through the family as recently as my father. Jeremiah and family reportedly came to Oswego, New York in 1837, and then on to Buffalo where he died. I am interested in finding a record of death for him or a marriage record for Darby who may have married there or in Waterloo around 1848. Darby's first and only son (as far as I know), John was born in 1849 in Waterloo. All the sons eventually ended up in Wisconsin around 1853.
