My great great great grandparents, Robert +Henrietta Maria Gray Clarke,came to Alabama from Chesterfield Co Virginia in early 1830s. They came with a young daughter, Roberta Maria, Robert's dad, William and 2brothers William and Henry. Just wondering if there is a connection. Family gossip says our Clarke's came from Ireland but you know family stories!! I know Roberta Maria Clarke was born in 1829 in 'her grandparents house, Woodmont'.
