Joe, I received probate papers(a lot of papers) on my Nicholas Clark. It seems he moved to Gonzoles, Tx. after 1850 census in Lafayette Co. Ark. He died down there on Feb. 10, 1854 without a will. Sence he had 1800 acres of land and lots of personal property, they had to probate everything. Susan his wife was made administrator of the estate untill because of ill health she turned the Administrator duties over to their son James J. Clark. It mentions all the children, who by now are grown and married. Amanda was married to Henry ONeil and Eliza was married to Jones Sadbury and Susan was still at home with Old Susan(Mother). And Clarinda was a Mauser by marriage. James J. Clark(son) was a resident of state(TX.) Nicholas Jr.(son) was dead already and Thornberry A.(son) and the girls were there to sign the papers, but not sure if they lived there. I know Thornberry A. Clark did for a while, but died in Lafayette Co. Ark. in 1855.I think he was there in 1852, because his son Thornberry Lewis(my Ggrandpa) was born there in 1852. There is also a Jephthah Clark mentioned as heir with the other children. But we do not know of him. Nothing mentioned about were they came from. Maybe this will shake up some interest! Nan from Ark.
