Chester is my gg-grandfather, was born in Scott, NY in 1849, moved to Alfred NY in 1868 or so, to go to school. He married Ann Ophelia Stillman and took to farming in Nile, NY until about 1898, when he took over his father-in-law's farm. He left the family in 1905, and moved to Binghamton, NY, where he had a shoe repair shop and owned a number of properties (having been a significant stockholder in the Celadon Terra Cotta Company). He died in 1925, and was buried in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Ophelia is buried in Seattle, WA where she had joined her daughter in the 1930s, I believe.
