    3. Hi Linda, Haven't heard from you in a while. We have George W. Clarke b. abt 1841 in New Kent County, Virginia. He was the son of Dandridge West Clarke and Martha R. Pumphrey, my great grandparents. He had a child with the initials "C.L.", b. Mar 1883, but that is all I know about his children. I'm showing him as married to a "Martha R." (last name unknown) b. abt 1846, but I suspect that was a duplication of his mother's name, and that we don't actually know what his wife's name was. Now I didn't know that your grandmother was a Clark. I knew about our Cullingsworth connection. Can you tell me any more about your grandmother Birdie Clark? George W. didn't have a sister with "Birdie" as a given name, but could it have been a nickname for one of his sisters? I think I sent you the gedcom (WAYYYYY back when...) That name Lulah Belle sure sounds familiar, though I don't have it in my database. I do have a Lula Watkins. My grandmother Charlotte "Lottie" Belle Watkins married Robert Dandridge Clarke, so you can see why I'd also be interested in Rae's "Lottie". Also, our George W. Clarke had a sister named Harriet S. Clarke. "Hattie" is the nickname for Harriet, so there is another point of interest, because he may have had a daughter he named after his sister. Birdie was my grandmother. She is buried in Western KY. I don't know much about her family. I have a picture of two little girls and on the back says Ruth May and Lulah Belle Clark. I think these may be her sisters. Birdie died in 1909 at the age of 27. She was born in 1882. I am looking for her parents and siblings. Any help appreciated. 3. Charlotte, I think you have me confused with someone else. I don't have any Cullingsworths in my line. This may not be the same George W. Clark either. I just don't have very much to go on. My grandmother's name was Birdie Arini Jola Clark. When she married she had Birdie Clark on her marriage license. The marriage license is the only thing I have from her except some pictures. I wish the picture of George W. Clark was still in the album. If you happen to come across any of these, I would appreciate hearing from you. Good luck and maybe we can figure out all these Clarks. <g> Linda ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charlotte I Geier" <charlotte.geier@juno.com> To: <CLARKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 25, 2001 11:57 AM Subject: [CLARKE] George W.
