Joe and others, That is the info I have based on the book: Clark of Elizabeth Town in New Jersey, by Elmer Sayre Clark, 1942. Elmer was a grt. grandson of Samuel Jr. and Phoebe. I found this book at the Library of Congress in DC. It was a limited edition and apparently is long out of print. My one regret is that the one cousin most interested in any relationship with Abraham Clark of NJ died before I had a chance to let him know. Abraham is a part of the Richard and Elizabeth Clark family. Samuels father's will names him and his sisters, but his mothers will names only the sisters. I would guess that she didn't name Samuel because he had been gone from NJ for about 20 years by then. I welcome comment from any part of this family group. Don Clark
