Here's a new one for you---- Josiah Clark came to Carter Co Tn. in 1790. He ran a black powder mill. His two sons, Thomas and James received land from Josiah for "love and affection". James continued to live in Carter Co but Thomas moved to Monroe Co Tn. When he died his estate was a family feud that eventually ended up in the supreme court. I have never seen anyone mention this Clark branch from Tn. I am interested in Josiah's parents and where he may have migrated from.. any help would be appreciated. Max in Missouri
Max, Do you know when Thomas Clark was born? I have A Thomas Clark (born abt 1800) and his son Thomas Jefferson Clark, born in (abt 1828 in )Tennessee (my 3rd and 2nd great grandfather). I have information that Thomas the father was born in N.C. Don't know if there is any connection to the family that you have listed. Thanks for any info.
