Angus - anything on that census about this family in NS? Annie might have been newborn at the time of census. I'm looking for any info on the following members of the CLARKE family. The 1880 census for Lawrence, Essex, Mass. lists: William Clarke, 35, born 1845 in Canada (probably Nova Scotia), both his parents born in England and his wife; Elizabeth (?) Clarke, 32, born 1848, in Canada, both her parents born in Canada (probably Nova Scotia - family rumors always said "they" came from Nova Scotia). Mathematically it seems they came to US close to 1872. Their children; Annie B. Clarke, 9 born in Canada (probably Nova Scotia) All other siblings were born in Massachusetts "ge.no" wrote: > > Hello, > I have a census from 1871, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, District 205: It lists the following family: > William Clarke age 39 > Wife Mary age 37 > Children: > William A age 11 > George age 18 > Mary Ann age 8 > Margaret age 6 > Sara J age 4 > Bertha age 1 > Henry Clarke age 40 > Wife Sara age 40 > Children: > George age 18 > Catherine age 16 > John age 14 > Celine age 11 > Mary Ann age 8 > Vera age 6 > Would anyone have a connection this family? > Thank you for your time. > Angus Clarke > ======================================================= Fred Clarke - East Greenwich RI 02818 -- Mr. Potatohead-It's a Rhode Island thing, you sorta hafta be here! =======================================================
