Who are you looking for. I have a Clark line established back to my ggggGrandfather Christopher Clark b. 1754. He was born in Ireland, came to America. I have heard he was related to the famous Clark family who were explorers. Tell me who you are looking for and I will try to help. Donna
Donna. Since this came over the list, I have no idea if you were addressing it to anyone in particular, but thought I would jump in. I am looking for the Clark line that goes like this: CHARLES FRANKLIN CLARK b: May 7, 1882 d: Feb. 26, 1942 in Columbiana County, Ohio son of: George W. Clark & Romaine Woodward m: Mary Susan Glaser GEORGE W. CLARK b: May 4, 1856 Cabell County, Huntington, WV. d: Feb. 20, 1929, Columbiana County, Ohio m: Romaine Woodward July 8, 1879 Cabel County, WV. Son of BALLARD Now this is where I am stumped. According to George's death certificate (information given by a daughter at the time of his death) George's father's name was BALLARD. That was it! Just the one word, no indication if this is a first name or a last name. So I may be looking for BALLARD CLARK or just a man who fathered a child, last name BALLARD. Family lore has it that this line of Clarks were from the Huntington, WV. area, around Barboursville..and related to the Shepard line somehow. Also, we are supposed to be related to the Clark of Lewis & Clark fame. If anyone on the list sees any clues to this, I would be eternally grateful. This has been my brickwall for quite sometime and no amount of searching at LDS has given me any clues. Just too many Clarks and with out the family of Ballard to help, I am lost. Carla
