    3. Dear List, I am seeking the ancestors of Edwin Clark. Edwin married Rebecca Hatcher in Ohio. They moved to Illinois where he joined the Union Army. He died in an accident in Tennessee. His son William moved to Nebraska and probably died in Minnesota. I have pretty good information about our branch going forward. There were at least two Clarks in ClintonCo, KY but we have no information to connect Edwin to either. Does anyone recognize Edwin? 3. I'm still looking for MOSES CLARK, born 1810 - wife ELIZABETH HUNT. The 1850 census states Moses was born in PA, but this may be incorrect. In 1850 he was living in Moreland, Lycoming Co., PA. Shortly after, he moved to St.Joseph Co. Michigan, where he died in 1855. I have been unable to locate his parents. Does anyone have a clue? Virginia

    1. Maria C. Clark (1823, NY -- 1862, MI)
    2. Jerry Holcombe
    3. I want to thank the members of the CLARKE-L list who put forth an extensive list of CLARKs/CLARKEs from the Auburn/Clarksville area of New York. They did so in response to my search for my g-g-grandmother, Maria C. (CLARK) WEEKS/WICKS. Unfortunately, given what little I know about her, I can't make a match out of the data. Let me post what little I know about her and throw out a couple of additional thoughts. Maria C. Clark 1. According to the WHITNEY family website (Maria's mother-in-law was Maria Ann Whitney), she was b. 10 May 1823, Auburn, Cayuga Co., NY. If this is true, then its possible she is related in some way to the Clarksville group. 2. Maria m. Stephen Weeks/Wicks, 26 Sep 1843, Henrietta Township, Monroe Co., NY. I don't know what she was doing there. Does anyone in the group have Clarks who moved up that way from Cayuga Co.? Does anybody know of an orphaned child (perhaps Maria?) who was raised by Clarks or other relations who moved up to Monroe Co.? Stephen Weeks was the son of Benjamin Weeks and his wife, Maria Whitney. They'd moved to Monroe Co., NY from Fairfield Co., CT. 3. Immediately after Stephen and Maria married, they journeyed with Stephen's two brothers, George Washington Weeks and William Henry Weeks, to Leslie Township, Ingham Co., MI. There, all three brothers homesteaded large tracts of adjoining properties. Each built large homes, one of which remains at its original site, today. Like their parents, they were Baptists. All three brothers and their families are buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Town of Leslie, Ingham Co., MI. 4. Maria C. (Clark) Weeks d. 1 Jul 1862, Leslie Township, Ingham Co., MI, after the birth of her ninth child. She is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery. Two years after her death, Stephen married his second wife, Laura Edwina Reynolds, by whom he had eight more children. This is the sum total of what I know about Maria C. (Clark) Weeks. Does any of it sound familiar to list members? Best Regards, Sally J. (Bolster) Holcombe holcombejr@mindspring.com G-G-Granddaughter of Stephen Weeks/Wicks and his first wife, Maria C. Clark

Both front and back covers are present but are not attched to the book. Purchased at an Estate Auction - Starting bid is what I paid for it. Hoping to return it to family. > It appears this bible was started in the Boies Family then passed to the Pemrose family through marriage. Some information from bible: > Jeremiah Smith Boies son of James and Elizabeth Boies born in Milton, Massachusetts 27th March 1762. > Sarah Hannah Boies daughter of Joseph and Isabella Elizabeh Clarke born in Stratford Connecticut 1st Jan 1762 > Married in Braintree 8th Nov 1785. > Record lists their son Jeremiah, his marriage and children. (Birth, Death Date and Burial Spot are listed for all the above). The Second Jeremiah's daughter Sarah Hannah Boies married Richard Alexander Fullerton Pemrose MD (Son of Charles B. Pemrose, Esq & Valina F. Biddle). A page in the bible lists their children's birth and baptism. As well as the dates of their illnesses. ex: Measels, Chicken Pox. There is even a reference to one of the children losing part of his finger in an accident at Saratoga Springs NY. Dr. Richard Pemrose continued that family records after the death of his "Idolized" wife in 1881. He has a 1/2 page entry about his wife's death that would make anyone tear up. He added pages into the bible with his parents and siblings records. The last dates recorded were in 1901 and 1902.
