    3. The family tree in the front of the book shows: Jonathan Clark married Elizabeth Wilson but only lists John Clark who married Ann Rogers. The focus is mainly on their children and also Rogers lines. I recall the somewhere in the novel they mentioned a long tradition of naming John and Jonathan each generation. 1. [CLARKE] CLARK, Joseph B. / 1900 / Hope, MI
    2. Hi all, I have found out a little bit more about my family and thought I would post again in hopes of making a connection with someone. Joseph B. CLARK, b. Aug. 1861 in MI + Janetta DAVIDSON, b. April 1871 in MI Ch: - Mabel, b. Apr 1888 in MI Myrtle, b. Aug 1890, MI Daisy, b. Sep 1894, MI Ethel, b. Jun 1898, MI Vern B., b. July 9, 1902, Hope, MI They were on the 1900 census, except for Vern, living in Hope, MI. Janetta listed her parents' birthplace as English, Canada. Joseph listed his mother's birthplace as Ohio, father unknown. Vern B. Clark + Katherine McKenzie, b. Abt. 1907, St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada Ch: - Jack (later adopted by Aunt Myrtle and husband Bert Smith) - Evelyn - Donald B. If anyone knows anything about this family I would really to make a connection. This is my father-in-law's (Donald B. Clark) family. His mother, Katherine McKenzie, abandoned the family when Donald was 18 mo. old and the children were farmed out to the aunts to raise. My father-in-law grew up not being told much about the family, and now would like to know. Thanks for reading this. Hope I wasn't too long-winded. Robin Clark

    3. Hi Deborah, I noticed that your last name is Waddell. My Clark's were related to Waddell's by marriage. I had a female (Margaret? without having to look it up) that married a Straney. They had a daughter Mary Straney who married my great grandfather, a widower(??), John Clarke of Overtown, Lanarkshire, Scotland. John was born in 1857 and they married in 1889. John already had three children at that time, Michael, John and Margaret (aka Maggie). I'm just curious if any of this fits into your ancestry?
