Beverly, I don't know HOW they connect but I'm pretty sure they do. I have a BAILEY T. CLARK in the 1850 census of Wood Co., VA (WV).: They all lived in the same place at the same time. Here's what I have for you: This info was sent to me by Camille Ammerman. I think I met her through the Wirt Co.,WV list. Bailey T. Clark 40 MD Merchant: Elizabeth 26 VA: Marcellus 21 MD Clerk: Fanny Cole 07 VA. Elizabeth is probably a second wife. Bailey is most likely Marcellus' father, Bailey is not found on the 1860 census. No marriage for Bailey is found in either county. My ISAAC O. CLARK (son of JAMES CLARK), named his first son B. MARCELLUS. Could B. stand for BAILEY? Hope this helps and if you know any more about my James I would love to hear about it. Betty

I, too, am attempting to find my Clark Line....I don't have a lot of information on my line, but figure it doesn't hurt to see if there may be a connection.... I am looking for the family of William Henry Clark b. 1853...d.1937 Married Mary Adelia Braman on 24/Aug/1884 in Tomah, Wisconsin....They had one child Hazel Luella, who married Alva John Robertson. I have been attempting to trace William Henry Clark's family and migration to Wisconsin...We have been told that he may have came from Canada, but so far seems to be rumor...have not been able to find any proof... If he fits in anywhere, please let me know.... Patsy Mar63ie@aol.com wrote: > Sorry to butt in, but was wondering if your WV Clarks might be connected to > mine. Betty, do you have siblings for your James and was he from Wood County. I have a Bailey that lived in Wood-Jackson County area. Not sure yet where he was born. If you have a connection let me know and I'll tell you what I have. Thanks, Beverly
Sorry to butt in, but was wondering if your WV Clarks might be connected to mine. I am looking for my great grandfather's family. He was Jacob Clark born 1861 in Jackson County, His father was Bailey (from Ohio, PA, OR Maryland), his mother Frances (suppose to be from France). He had several siblings, I have their names but nothing else yet. If you have a connection or info please let me know, thanks Beverly
Hello all, I'm needing the help of all you good people on these list. I have searched for many years (as I'm sure most have) and had no luck in finding my CLARK line info.. I want to make a plea to every one receiving this posting. Please send me any thing you have on ANY CLARK line that was in PA. in the time frame listed above. I'm hopeing to connect to my CLARK line this way. I have so far this migration route for my line. PA 1813>OH 1837>IN 1856>. I feel that my CLARK line would have been in MA. at any time from 1812 <, because this is where the in-laws LAWRENCE family were at. I have searched as best I can from I-Net (health reasons keep me from getting out to search in the summer..sun/heat) and can't find any connection for sure. Therefore, if you have some MA. CLARK's too, please send them also. I will not keep your info after I have looked it over and found I do not connect to it. This is the only way I can think of to try to find my Amanson-Mansin CLARK b. 1813 PA.. I have no siblings for him yet but, have poss. for some. I do however, have a lot of info on his children and am very willing to share with anyone wanting to look it over or that connects to it. I know this is very unusual for me to ask of you but, I'm really desperate these days. Thank you for reading this and I hope to connect soon to my CLARK line. Marcie in IN.. (LQQK below for my line) Mansin-Amanson CLARK b. @ 1813 PA., Farmer in Harrison TWP., Darke Co., OH.. (Amanson-Mansin CLARK had a will and it listed all these children for him, and listed his wifes maiden name as Juilann LAWRENCE, ***daug. of Clark LAWRENCE/LAURENCE & Susan ROE of Darke Co, OH., Clark b. 1796 d. 04 May 1876 in Darke Co., OH.). I have no mention of Amanson-Mansin CLARK being in Darke Co., OH., before 1837 when he married so he may have still been in PA., until 1837. (Amanson and Juliann married on 14 Oct 1837, altho, it is listed under the name Amanson BLACK & Julian LAURENCE. They were married by : Levi PURVIANCE, MG., in Darke Co., OH.). (Amanson-Mansin CLARK and wife Juliann LAWRENCE, CLARK are buried in the Yankeetown Cemt., Harrison TWP., Darke Co., OH.. I have pictures of the stones. (Amanson-Mansin CLARK poss. came any Co., PA..) I have searched the I-Net and found nothing on him but, I will need his fathers name first). I hope to find a (male) b. 1813 in your line and search from there. Does any one have any thing to add to this ? Please help !! Thanks for reading this, Marcie in IN..

Seeking info concerning a Henry CLARK who migrated to the US from Ireland during the Revolutionary War? Any info would be appreciated. Peggy Chastain Craft
My great grandmother Rebeca Clark was supposed to be Cherokee. She was born in SC about 1858 and was alive until after the 1910 cenus in NC. around Asheville or Spring Creek. Her mother was Sarah-Salla-Sally Carlil-Carlyle-Carlisle or whatever spelling. We can find no mention of indian, but they sure looked like it. Anyone know anything about either Rebeca or Sally? Hi All, Does anyone have information about Ann (______) Clark(e), widow of Alexander Clark(e) who was killed in the Battle of Navesink Highlands, Middletown, Monmouth County, NJ on 13 February 1777? Ann received half pay after Alexander was killed, until she remarried 18 December 1780. I haven't been able to find the name of her second husband. Ann (_____) Clark(e) and Alexander Clark(e) had two sons, Richard and Joseph, both born between 1771-1774. Ann (_______) Clark(e) was probably born ca 1752 and married to Alexander Clark(e) ca 1771. Her family was probably from Monmouth County, NJ, probably either from Middletown or Freehold. Can anyone help me fill in the blanks? Thanks! Judi Virginia
