Include all the information in the order that it is entered on the form, so that others have the advantage of all that information. NOTE: You don’t have to type in the SS Number for the person as the Rootsweb program includes it. Since the cost of these forms will be increasing substantially next week, it would be good if EVERYONE put out the information they already have. Looking for Alfred Hartshorn Clark son of Elias Clark and Mary Darrow Clark. He was born 1840 in Madison, Ohio. I am not sure if this is referring to a city or town or perhaps a county. I do know that he enlisted in the Union Cavalry in Mt. Carmel, Illinois and rode with Sherman to the sea. After the war he went back to Ohio to marry. Later he migrated to Needles, California and then to Oakland, California where he died in 1923. I also know that he and his wife had children...or at least one daughter. He was a member of the Grand Old Army, after the war. Is anyone familiar with this group? Does anyone recognize Alfred? Sara

Marilyn, I've found something interesting in my family tree that could possibly be connected to your Eleanor/Nelly/Milly Clark question. In my Clark/e family tree, which originally hails from Virginia, I have an Eleanor "Nellie" Boone which married Jeremiah Clarke. Nellie Boone was Daniel's niece. Nellie is probably a common nickname for Eleanor. My Eleanor "Nellie" Boone Clarke was born in 1783 and died in 1821. Her husband, Jeremiah Clarke was born in 1778 in Burke Co., NC and died September 19, 1832. I don't think this is the same person you're searching for, but thought you might find it interesting.
