I am looking for a Moses Clarke who listed his home as Stafford in Hartford County, CT, in 1766. He bought property in NS and the deed was drawn in Hartford. I am trying to find his parents. I thought they were the Stonington, CT, family of John Clarke but I've been unable to make the connection. He was born ca 1715-1730 and married a Mary unknown. All his children were born in the US, presumably CT before they emigrated to Horton Township in Kings County, Nova Scotia in about 1761; later they went to Yarmouth where they appear in the 1773 census; and in about 1776 they emigrated to the St. John River in what became New Brunswick and settled at Gagetown. I am seeking a John Erskine Clark, birthplace and parents unknown He and Irene Florence Clark were residing on Howard Street, San Francisco. I show them residing at this address in 1939. It is possible they could have resided on Haight Street, San Francisco in 1937. He was employed as a railroad employee out of the Burlingame, California yards. Type of work unknown. On a wild chance!!!! I have an ANDREW JACKSON CLARK, b. 1840-42 in Sangamon Co., IL his parents could have been Charles and Malinda Elizabeth Reed Clark. After the CW he moved with his new wife to Atchison Co., MO and raises his family. There is a 3-4 yr. period after the war and before I find them in MO where I do not know where they disappeared. Hello everyone. I'm new to this list and seeking help in finding any information about the parents and/or siblings of my great grandmother, Nancy Ann CLARK. Nancy Ann was born in April, 1832, in OH and married Jacob MILLER in Athens Co., OH in 1850 just after she had her 19th birthday. She and Jacob were living in Rome Township with his parents, William R. MILLER and Martha STEED MILLER, when the 1850 census for Athens Co. was taken. A few houses away, also in Rome Township, is a listing for the family of Isaiah and Nancy CLARK whom I believe may be Nancy Ann CLARK's parents. Isaiah, born in Maine, was 48 in 1850, and his wife Nancy, born in Ohio, was 43. Others listed in Isaiah's household are Martha CLARK, 14; Mary CLARK, 11; Margaret CLARK, 8; Lucy CLARK, 4; and Esther CLARK, 3/12. Living in the house next door to Isaiah CLARK was Jackson CLARK, 23; Elizabeth CLARK, 22; and William D. CLARK; 1. I've been researching this family for many years and have had no success finding anything to tie Nancy Ann CLARK to her parents.
