    2. Fellow List Members; I believe it is time to get back to genealogy. The list owner has stated the procedure that should be followed, and those that disagree have stated their reasons. Now, let's get back to something on which we all (I think) can agree: tracking down our elusive ancestors. Jim

Reading and agreeing with you all in the open replies that help everyone and noticed that you mentioned Robert CLARK/CLARKE and Mary FLAKE. I am wondering and investigating whether my 6th great grandfather, Robert CLARKE, born: abt. 1688 in Edgecombe Co., NC, who married Jean ?, might be a descendant of Robert CLARKE/CLARK/CLERKE and Mary FLAKE but hadn't found anything confirming that yet. And, if not, who the parents of Robert CLARKE might be. I descend through Jean ? and Robert CLARKE's daughter, Hannah CLARKE, who married Jacob UNDERWOOD, (son of Thomas (2) UNDERWOOD, son of Thomas (1) UNDERWOOD,) and their daughter, Sarah "Sally" UNDERWOOD who married Lewis Lamkin HATTEN, and their son, William HATTEN, born: 1800 in Tar River, Nash Co., NC, who married Frances Lucretia "Patsy" LOTT, born: abt. 1802 in AL, (daughter of Martha Jane Dorsey? 2. Ken; I couldn't disagree with you more! A lot of the replies are of interest to only one people and should be sent to that person. I get very tired reading replies like; "Thanks a lot George for the help" or "Helen was born 1866 in Providence" These replies are of no value to any person other than the intend. Therefore the "reply" button should send the note to the person. If someone has a reply that may be of value to the list they can easily change the "to" address! The lists are to aid people! It is not a contest between list owner to see who can here the longest list. John In a message dated 6/30/2001 7:10:50 AM Eastern Daylight Time, elaine_dee@hotmail.com writes: << Ken, I couldn't agree with you more!! I am administrator of several lists and I have it set that all replies go back to the list! I don't agree with Chip's theory that it is easier for people to type in their own reply too. I am also of the opinion that should someone want to reply off list they can copy and paste the address they want to send it to. >>

    1. [CLARKE] CLARK, Orcelia and Frederick
    2. Looking for any additional knowledge of Orcelia Clark, bn. Jun 1894 in MN, and Frederick Clark, bn. May 1896 in MN. Parents were Charles and Emma or "Amelia" Clark . The apparently migrated from North Dakota to Alberta about 1909 with Emma's 2nd husband, Wm. Mills. They may have died fairly young, but we have been unable to track them down after they left the country. Doug Windhorn
