    3. For a moment I got very excited, as I have a Fred Clarke who fit some of that info. However, he died in WWI on November 6, 1917. Some of you may be interested in looking up your English relatives who died in WWI or WWII in the Debt of Honor web site of the Commonwealth War Graves commission, where I found our Fred. It gave the name of his father, Eli Clarke, as well as his wife, Katherine (Kitty), and told where he is buried in France. I have some photos of him, but seeing this reference made him so much more real: http://yard.ccta.gov.uk/cwgc/register.nsf Sheila Lowe Searching CLARKE, AHRENS, KING, SCHNEIDER ----- Original Message ----- From: <fourleafmel@hotmail.com> To: <CLARKE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 03, 2001 9:02 AM Subject: [CLARKE] fred clarke of ireland > > > I am searching for relatives of Fred Clarke. 2. Billie M. Sweat
    3. I am still trying to surmount my brick wall = that of Banjamin Franklin Clark. He is one of those southern CLarks with roots in NC. He was born in 1857 Mobile, Ala., married in Manatee Co., Fla, 1881. It is speculated that his father was a John, b/1796 in NC subsequently moving to Miss.,( according to Wayne Co., Miss.1850 census). He married a Delaney (unk) b/SC. They had 13 children, ages 19-1 yr old, all born in Miss except B.F. (according to the census). I have been unable to do much research beyond B.F because I can't prove any connection to John -just circumstantial thru his sister Adelain or Adelaid, so therefore am unable to push back. I have info on Florida descendents. I have been researching this line for some time, up and down blind allies and some wild goose chases. I just recently found the possible connection to John, but nothing to go on other than the little sister mentioned above. Any help appreciated. Billie M. Sweat whispval@netxpress.com
